Making A Mirror Come To Life..!!!

I found this old scratched up mirror at my favorite furniture thrift store and had to have it. My girls needed a mirror in there new bedroom so, why not create the perfect mirror for them.....I was so excited to get started!!

First find the perfect mirror....

I taped it off and painted it the color to match my girls room and the paper I was going to use....

Pick the paper you are going to use and of course get your Mod Podge.....best stuff EVER!!!

Cut the paper to fit the mirror, I usually leave a little haning over the edge to file off later....start Mod Podging ( I don't know if that is a word..but it is fun to write)....

Once you have finished the entire mirror it will look like this...let it dry and now to finish the edges...

I have two favorite things to use to sand edges...a good ole nail file and one of my favorite tools....

my sander....LOVE IT!! If you don't have a sander, regular sand paper will do the job!!

Now the edges are sanded and....

antiqued :) with my favorite BURNT UMBER, SEMI OPAQUE paint.....

The finished product.....AAAHHHH!!

Here it is in my girls room...it is eventually going to be hung the other way...BUT for now it is up!!!

Now the girls have a great mirror that matches a magnet board, I made my daughter for Christmas you can see that HERE...

Thanks for looking....

Clip Board

This is the funniest, easiest craft. It is the perfect way to display your many, many art projects and pictures from your kids!!

The things you need, wood 1 X 4, BIG BULLDOG CLIPS this is the best place I found to buy them was HERE , screws and washers..paint the wood whatever color you want....

Here is the size of washers and screws that I used....

Measure where you want you clips and drill your holes then....just put the screw in the washer and screw the clip on....

And it is done...so fun and easy.

Here is one I made earlier in red.......
